Hook after wonderful hook, Cincinnati's modern pop rock quintet Thousand Watt Revival is poised to take the world by musical storm.

The band's name is a playful double entendre, evoking visions of either being electrically shocked back to life with defibrillator paddles, or being swept up in a high-tech, high-energy spiritual get-together. The lyrics are at once both accessible and thought-provoking, and the ruthless combination of addictive melodies and interweaving rhythms make the listener an active participant in a positively-charged sonic experience.

Comprised of veterans of Cincinnati's alt-music scene, Thousand Watt Revival combines an aggressive approach to tonality with a thoughtful songwriting style, using sound to strengthen mood, themes to emphasize meaning, and harmony to warm the soul.

[Dec 1, 2005] Although 1000 Watt Revival has been in an abnormally long hibernation period, that doesn't mean that the members have been stagnant in their musicmaking.

Keith Adams has a new project out called The Proper Authorities, and his upcoming release "Public Service Announcement" on Talon First Records is a dynamic collection of modern pop rock songs that fans of 1000 Watt Revival should feel right at home with. Check out Keith's website for more information!

Plus, Nate's new (well, not really new) band, Amun Ra, has a new album out called "A Thousand Ticking Clocks" on Dead Inside Records. It is a must listen for fans of breakbeat grooves and a healthy dose of electronica. Check it out at their site!

[March 20, 2004] Thousand Watt Revival is now on the playlist of eoRadio.com, and if you are interested in hearing them along with a whole heaping helping of the best unsigned bands around, then feel free to hop on over and take a listen!
